Born in Plainview Texas April 4, 1985, Todrick Hall is an up and
coming singer, actor and producer who came to fame after making it
to the semi-finals of the ninth season of American Idol in 2010. In
a short span of time he has made his mark as an actor, songwriter,
singer, choreographer, designer, playwright and director. Todrick is
best known for Straight Outta Oz (2016), #Bandcamp
(2014) Pop Star High, and the MTV docu-series Todrick.
Todrick
distinguished himself as a Broadway star completing successful runs
in Chicago, The Color Purple, Kinky Boots, Memphis, and Waitress. He
visited over sixty cities worldwide with sold-out tours of “Straight
Outta Oz”, “Forbidden”, and “Haus Party”; and won the 2019 “Video
for Good” VMA as co-executive producer on Taylor Swift’s LGBTQ+
anthem “You Need to Calm Down”.
2022 started out as a rough year for Todrick. He is being sued for
$60,000 in back rent he allegedly owes his landlords according to a lawsuit
obtained by US Weekly, he agreed to pay $30,000 a month for a
five-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion in Sherman Oaks, California.
The suit was filed March 3.
According
to his website, he has over 9 million followers across several
social media platforms and is one of the most high profile and
prolific storytellers in the world.
