Johnnie Chase is originally from Windsor but now resides in Toronto. He is a graduate of both St. Clair College and Niagara College in Advanced Technical Theatre Arts. He eventually made a transition into acting and music.

Recognizable as host of the ever popular children’s tv classic The Polka Dot Door Mr. Chase can be seen making guest appearances in many ‘Made for TV’ movies, television series and on the big screen in Canada, the United States and overseas.

On stage Johnie Chase has performed in large broadway productions as well as Theatre for Young People and on the small stage. He enjoys the

opportunity to get out of the ‘Big Smoke’ and take part in summer stock productions to recharge the spirit.

While still moving ahead, after thirty years in the biz, Johnie has turned his talents to writing more. His first full length musical, based on ‘The gospel according to Johnie Chase’ is already in the box and he hopes to present it soon.

Johnie Chase can currently he can be seen in the upcoming ‘Made for TV’ movie Murder in the

Hamptons. He is also currently performing as one of the newest members of the Nathaniel Dett Chorale.
