  Mike Allen was born in Windsor and attended Marlborough Elementary and Forster Collegiate. He began working at Chrysler Canada in 1968 and continued until 1979. In 1979 he became a Millwright and Machine Repairman at ADM Agri Industries Limited.

Mr. Allen has been very active in the labour movement for many years. He became a union member in 1968 and continued to become a member of C.A.W. Local 195 and

to form the Windsor Grain Processors Union. He was the Vice-President of this union which eventually merged with the C.A.W. In 1985 Mike Allen was elected Shop Steward and in 1988 he was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the ADM unit.

In 1990 Mike Allen began working as a labour representative for the United Way of Windsor-Essex County. He also volunteers extensively in the community and has served as a school board trustee. For more information on Mike Allen please visit the Politics section of this website.
